§ 3. Definitions.

Latest version.

City shall mean the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas.

City council shall mean the city council of the City of The Colony, Denton County, Texas.

Local Government Code shall mean the Vernon's Texas Code Annotated Local Government Code.

Planning and zoning commission shall mean those members appointed by the city council.

Plat shall mean a map, generally of a subdivision, showing the location, boundaries and ownership of individual properties. Includes a replat.

Subdivision shall mean the division of any tract or parcel of land into two (2) or more lots for the purpose, whether immediate or future, of sale or building development, expressly excluding development for agricultural purposes. "Subdivision" shall also include replat of an existing subdivision together with any change of lot size therein or with the relocation of any street.
