§ 1-6. Failure to pay fine, penalty.

  • (a)

    Except where a valid appeal is pending, any person who, on conviction, shall fail or neglect to pay any fine or costs imposed under section 1-5 or any other city law or ordinance for any breach or violation of the same, shall be committed to jail until such fine and costs have been fully paid or satisfied, at the rate of $50.00 for each day.

    (b)

    The decree of the court or the verdict of the jury shall in all cases be presumed to include such commitment on failure or refusal or neglect to pay the fine and costs.
