§ 6-77. Structural requirements.

  • (a)

    General. Buildings or structures may be of any type of construction permitted by the building code. All structural elements shall be proportioned and joined in accordance with the stress limitations and design criteria as specified in the appropriate sections of the building code. Buildings of every permitted type of construction shall comply with the applicable requirements of the building code.

    (b)

    Shelter. Every building shall be weather protected so as to provide shelter for the occupants against the elements and to exclude dampness.
