§ 18-57. Printed matter prohibited.

  • No person shall sell, offer for sale, or keep or maintain for sale any obscene material as such terms are defined in V.T.C.A., Penal Code § 43.21 as amended, in any newspaper box installed, placed, used or maintained on any street, right-of-way or other public place within the city.

Editor's note

Ord. No. 647, §§ 7 and 8, adopted July 16, 1990, amended the Code by deleting § 18-57 in its entirety and by amending and renumbering §§ 18-58—18-60 as §§ 18-57—18-59. Section 18-57 pertained to other prohibited structures and derived from Ord. No. 264, § 8, adopted Oct. 3, 1983. Subsequently, Ord. No. 659, §§ 7 and 8, adopted Sept. 17, 1990, reaffirmed the deletion of the aforesaid § 18-57 in its entirety and the amendment and renumbering of §§ 18-58—18-60 as §§ 18-57—18-59.
