§ 2-6. Same—Acting secretary.

In the event of temporary absence or inability to serve of such secretary, any of such officer's deputies as have been appointed by the city council may so serve; or, the city council may appoint a suitable and qualified person as acting city secretary to serve for such period of temporary absence or inability to serve. The acting secretary, if so appointed, shall duly take the oath of city secretary.
